Laser Training Academy was founded to provide a structured, professional pathway for clinicians entering the cosmetic laser industry.
With over 9 years of experience in the laser and skin industry, the academy’s founder, Alessandra, recognised a gap in the market: many clinics and practitioners lacked the time, resources, or supervision to support staff in completing the practical hours required for Queensland Health and Radiation Health licensing. Laser Training Academy was developed to fill this gap, offering a combination of comprehensive online theory courses and hands-on supervised clinical experience.
Our programs give practitioners—doctors, nurses, dermal clinicians, and laser therapists—the confidence and competence to deliver safe and effective treatments. Clinicians gain access to advanced devices including PicoSure, Cutera Excel V, and eCO2, with full guidance on wavelength-specific treatments, safety protocols, and practical skills.
How it came about:
Laser Training Academy was created to make high-quality laser training accessible, convenient, and aligned with regulatory standards. By combining theory with practical supervision, the academy ensures practitioners can learn at their own pace, gain essential hands-on experience, and meet licensing requirements without relying solely on workplace-based supervision.
At its core, the academy is about quality education, ethical practice, and building confidence for clinicians who want to advance their careers in cosmetic laser treatments.
Now focusing on mentoring and education, Alessandra remains hands-on with her loyal clients, attending the clinic 1-2 days per week. She has shifted her efforts toward ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient care within the laser and skin industry.
Alessandra began her career in healthcare as a Division 2 Enrolled Nurse, gaining experience in orthopedics at Pindara Hospital, before completing her Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing through Gray Clay in Southport.
Over the past 10 years, she has built extensive clinical experience in the cosmetic laser and skin industry, consistently working alongside contracted doctors to ensure the highest standards of care.
Throughout her career, Alessandra has focused on integrating advanced technology, evidence-based practices, and professional mentorship into every aspect of her work.
Over the past decade, Alessandra built and operated Laser Skin Centre, originally located in Varsity Lakes for nine years and now based in Bilinga.
The clinic’s consistent industry reputation and outstanding client reviews reflect a commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and high-quality outcomes.
Her experience spans clinical practice, device acquisition and operation, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance, forming the foundation for Laser Training Academy’s structured, high-quality training programs.
